Who We Are

We are a group of passionate professionals who know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support. Since our founding in 2020, we have been determined to strengthen the Mountain State from the inside out.

The core of our efforts is to serve those who serve through advocacy, education, and counseling increasing knowledge, mental agility, and resilience. Through all of our endeavors we hope to display the conviction behind our beliefs and make our community a healthier space.

We concentrate on military, veterans, first responders, law enforcement, fire fighters, medical personnel and those impacted by traumatic events due to the nature of their occupation.

Advocacy and Intervention

With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for dealing with this challenge. Although it is difficult to be prepared for trauma, we work with various state, local and national organizations to "be prepared", respond to natural and manmade disasters to render psychological 1st aid, conduct Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), and follow up with referrals for 1st responders and survivors.

Care Packages

At Appalachian Trauma and Resiliency Center, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing the negative stigma related to mental health. We remove barriers to care by providing free counseling to those affected by traumatic situations. This endeavor is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.

Home: What We Do

Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.
